There's no use crying over the deal now it will be a fait acompli.
They are selling the shares at a 100% premium to the pre-announcement price so what more can they do?
A bloody shame that the Future Fund, the investment houses and the superannuation funds in Australia don't invest in real wealth producing companies instead of this derivative crap from overseas.
Who can blame the Chinese? After numerous ridiculous price increases for IO of course they are going to try and secure supplies for themselves.
And if Australia is stupid enough to let them do it as cheaply as they're getting these GBG shares then we deserve to get done over.
