    I never said that the Voice could force decisions, BB. You said the enshrining of the Voice was needed to prevent the LNP from ignoring (i.e. not following the advice of) the Voice. But that's not right. Any Government, including a conservative one, could completely ignore the advice of an enshrined Voice.

    The only argument I've seen that tried to thwart this statement of fact was that no Government would dare ignore the advice of an enshrined Voice, but the Prime Minister himself has said he would do just that when it suited him.

    I would also suggest that any Government who would be prepared to abolish a legislated Voice wouldn't blink at simply ignoring an enshrined one.
