Thanks for your polite response. However I have a different view to you on many of these issues particularly where you say that:

Oh yes they are. If you are a director of a publically listed company you act on behalf of others (shareholders) who own the company. Now if you decide to sell the company at a 50% premium to a record low there are going to be many owners of that company who will be financially disadvantaged by this decision. If you change the companies business model owners of the company are going to be upset if the new model conflicts with the original reason they invested in the company.
You can follow Bob into his new job but there are others who have thought long and hard about this who don't agree with the terms of this takeover, and the risks involved.
