    Well yes and no, but the loss of Aje is a massive massive downside.

    If they wanted in to some near term acreage then they could farm in if they really wanted to. There are plenty of companies all around the world that want farm in partners, which they could go for if they wanted near term speculation without losing Aje. Whilst they will get cash for Aje, it will not be at a true value and likely to be between $1 and $1.50 / barrel which is way below its true value.

    Bear in mind Afren have recently stated that the deeper structure (the synrift play) will be drilled in the 2nd half of this year. This and the development will be unfunded by JKA but has huge upside but much lower risk than Morocco.

    Obviously if the Cap Juby well comes in then the risk changes but there were other options to add acreage.
