i used to go to shield games when the likes of mark taylor captained nsw - they always went for the jugular and draws were a rarity
more a passing interest nowadays, and against the grain to a degree, no doubt - but if the powers that be are truly showing any interest in the longer form, delaying the shield comp to the back end of the season is not what i would describe as confidence for the future of the 1st class game
