Probably not something to worry about in the near term but a report in todays SMH on Page 14 (not on the electronic site that I could find) states that there is an impending huge sub-ocean landslide on the cards which will produce mega tidal waves - and the biggest problem might/will be felt on the USA/South American Atlantic Coasts.
The Island in question - La Plama - is a few hundred klms directly north of the North African West Coast.
