There are a couple of responses to that query ...

a) Seimens and General Electric have a range of IGCC turbines (up to abt 250MW that I can see) designed to run on syngas ... it matters nought whether the syngas is produced via a surface gasification plant or via ucg.

b) Thus, imo, there is a smaller leap of faith to see Cougar syngas fuelling off the shelf specifically designed and commercially sized turbines than that required to see Linc syngas producing 5,000 to 20,000 bopd from a plant yet to be designed and constructed.

But I truly wish for both to succeed.
