    Hey pat,

There are a few mechanisms for trade on vla, buy the rumour sell the fact being one with the biggest impact. I.e there will probably be a little buying before ASCO, then selling on results. That seems a profitable strategy, but disheartening for long term holders, cause the results are great.

Vla doesn't trade in huge volumes and so is easily manipulated. A theory that I have is that some are trading CFDs. These are contracts for difference and are a pure trading mechanism that doesn't effect the market.. so.. in my theory a shorted CFD for vla is placed when the market depth in thin. (At any given time, the buy orders for vla are few and far between) A sale on the open maket of $40000 could drop the share price by 10% on some days. The sale is made by an owner of the stock (which is bought back later, cheaper taking a loss) but the CFDs are leveraged, multiplying the gains. And so making a profit.

It would require a lot of cash and a big ticker.. Or a big company with lots of $$$ and conscience.

    This is only my opinion..

I hold medium to long term and the old adage is that the stock market is a way of transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient, so as you mentioned your strategy would be true to the addage. I am currently holding hzr and fgr longer term and will work with the theory.

    Good luck
