One single comment I read a few years back from Mr Warren Buffet has helped me see through volatility both positive and negative in the markets to make profitable investment decisions.

US companies are sitting of the best cash reserves for 52 yrs! And Germany and France alone could and will take on all of Europe's debt ajx it will only represent 50% of EU GDP as collective debt. The markets are just waiting for a stable foundation before they move into the next bull phase. Mr Bernanke will meet with other Reserve Bank Governors at this Friday at Jackdon Hole.Same place where he hinted at QEII last year and implemented it 4 weeks later.....QEIII will definitely be discussed.
