Impress Energy is pleased to announce the following update on operations at Wilpinnie-4 (Tomcat Prospect) in PPL 93. Operations are underway at Wilpinnie-4 (Tomcat Prospect) to conduct a cased hole production test. Equipment has arrived on site and is currently being rigged up in preparation to conduct the test over the coming days.

Wilpinnie-4 was drilled in January 2007 after completion of a farm in by the PEL 115 Joint Venture into the Wilpinnie North Block of PPL 93. The well intersected an 18 metre oil column in the Jurassic Mid Namur reservoir. On testing the upper part of the reservoir the well flowed at a rate of 144 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and was cased and suspended as a future oil producer.

The cased hole production test is designed to test both the upper part of the reservoir seen by the initial test as well as the zone immediately below, where reservoir quality is interpreted to improve.

The nearby Wilpinnie-3 well initially flowed at 785 BOPD before declining to 41 BOPD and 20 BWPD at the end of the test. Wilpinnie/Tomcat covers an area of 400 acres and recoverable volumes are estimated at 3.5 million barrels in the P50 and 5.7 million barrels in the P10 cases.
