Yes, I guess I think the upside with this sort of leverage and discount to NTA is fairly obvious.
I am just a slow, long term investor in the market. I have two ways of making money:
1. Buy shares I think are cheap which go up in price.
2. Buy shares I think are cheap which go down in price...
... and then average down.
The problem with type 2 is that it comes unstuck if the price carries on falling and I lose the lot or get massively diluted. So I have a rule never to hold where I think there is any obvious threats to existence or need for major new capital. That means I tend to eliminate those with a risk in the next 6 months. (I also don't add to a position at intervals less than three months apart and look for fundamental and technical reasons to add).
We all invest for different reasons, but I've found that not losing money is the best first step for me.
