thanks bot, good analysis. I haven't done any research on TA and am an FA guy, but your explanation makes a lot of sense to me. I have always thought the TA stuff relates to how the big end are manipulating things, but your interpretation shows how the herd may also be thinking and acting, which to me is important as I like to go against the herd.

I know a lot of people write off TA, but to me I can see the advantages of combining the two. If the FA says buy, you can still use TA to time your entry for maximum effect, even if you are only planning on holding and not trading. Therefore I appreciate the commentary from yourself and others as it only furthers my education which is what this forum should really be about.
