I wonder what SLR's staff turnover is like.
At the mine I work on I see good people leaving because they have to fight everybody to get anything done, meanwhile muppets stay and get promoted just because they are able to keep things ticking over the way they are. Even when the production costs are high, recovery is low and there is a culture of never ending one off incidents. Loosing boggers, damaging LV's, blaming equipment, urinating in the gym bin, and don't get me started on training. Blind leading the blind. I was given 3 hours training to run the section of the plant that recovers only 80% - 90%+ of the gold. There is no regard for that extra 10% recovery that history proves is possible in that plant. Maintenance is a knee-jerk reaction to failures that repeatedly cause temporary shut-downs and reduced recovery and production. Mean-while the leaders sit in the office telling management that everything is tickety-boo.
I wouldn't mind going to SLR just to see how it's really done.
Onwards and Upwards.
