Good article from a leftist newspaper. Much the same as the letter written by ANU blaming the Uni shootings on Howard.
But a response is never the less required.
The Palestinians who either bring their children to the front line or allow their homes to be used to launch attacks on Jews/Israelis have to bear the weight of responsibility for the loss of "innocent lives".
If those who fire anti tank missiles believe they can do so with impunity because they do so from civilian homes, they are beinning to learn that they won't get away with it.
They are the killers of the occupants of the houses they fire from. They Israelis give those inside to option to give up and surrender. Those who accept the option escape. Those that frefer to remain inside, thereby encouraging the Palestinian fighters to continue, actually invite the return gun or tank fire.
In Jenin if you recall, (that's the town where the Arabs claimed there was a massacre of 5,000 dead, which was proven to be false) Israelis lost their lives needlessly as they (the Israelis) wished to make sure of minimum civilian casualties.
The Palestinians capitalize on this. Their arms depots are within civilian areas, within hosptals, churches, mosques etc. They use ambulances to ferry bombs, terrorists. They settle their intra tribal/family grudges by accusing each other of being collaborators and that usually means death on the spot, usually in a very unpleasant manner (not that there is a pleasant manner)
So, when they learn that there will be no feguge for bomb makers, murderers, drug dealers etc, not in hospitals, not in schools, not in mosques etc, then "innocent" civilians will not lose their lives.
As Golda Meir said years ago, this will not stop till the Palestinians learn to love their children more than they hate the Jews.
Oh how right she was!
By the way when one extrapolates yesterdays bus bombing into australian figues that would equate to 80 killed and 325 injured.
They have their Bali's every other day over there. So they are not going to be really nice to those behind those Bali's even if they hide amongst civilians.
Remember, they have to use the mentality that's prevelant over there, not here.
