Thanks for your input. You are quoting places on the Eyre Peninsular an area i am familiar with. I have driven around the Yorke Peninsular but am not a full bottle on the beach camping opportunities on either side. Just seeking some informed from experience advice on such.

thirty something years ago I would often camp at Pondalowie Bay and surf, not fish, the campsite was well protected from the wind, it was probably 500 metres from the beach and surrounded by bushes 2-3 metres tall, you should also find mid march to be quite calm anyhow, for fishing Browns Beach was quite popular for salmon, the place is a little north of 'pondie'. Where are you travelling from ?
