Actually Abott is 100 percent correct!!!
As for UK sheep farmers, what they need to do is become more competitive by gaining knowledge and re-augmenting their businesses to compete with NZ and or Aust. If that is not possible sell the land to more competitive uses and move to Aust and NZ if they want to continue sheep farming etc...
It sounds like some seem to want to continue to get a subsidy but it is only making them less relevant and viable long term!!!!
The so-called economic experts appear to have vested interests, The academics would for sure as dependents needing to create stories for student markets!!!
