yes, with an apparent world food shortage, grains etc will come to the fore
the powers that be have certainly tried their best to have gold as just another commodity with no gold standard - too many are buying physical for that scenario, imo - plus it's outperform over the rest of the commodities over 8 yrs probably backs that up
anyway, i have a few bob in a few goldies for the longer term
