Regardless of the number of vaccines delivered, the Australian government is one of the most backwards and tyrannical governments in the entire world. They've just made it illegal for any australian in india to even attempt to come home (can you imagine??). Personally I'm not even sure how this could possibly be legal - if you have an Australian passport, the Australian government has an obligation to ensure your safe passage home. I'd love to see someone sue the pants of the government if a family gets stuck in India and dies as a result.
Having said that, my point is that WEB, FLT and QAN are all at the mercy of the Australian government who have already made it very clear they won't open their borders except in very limited circumstances.
As for domestic travel - Corporates have pulled right back and while some private citizens will do domestic trips - many find holidays in Australia to be over priced for what you get. This isn't new and was a common theme prior to COVID.
Personally I think the aviation and travel sectors are swimming in risk, and I wouldn't be touching any of these stocks with a 20 foot pole.
There are better companies with a commensurate level of risk, who have far more potential upside than any of the travel/aviation stocks on the ASX.
