A government who makes it illegal for it's citizens to enter the country (under penalty of 5 years in jail), is indeed a tyrannical one.
FYI, the Australian Government is also able to refuse travel to any citizens attempting to leave Australia.
So you and I theoretically are prisoners in our own country (assuming we wanted to travel somewhere right now).
