One headline changes sentiment very quickly - the most recent today is vaccinated overseas visitors/residents can quarantine at home. So the shift is happening much quicker as global vacs of people increase dramatically. Yes it will still take time but importantly - the focus - the conversation has shifted to a pro active one as all govts know - global travel for whatever of the myriad of reasons is critical.
Add the bounce to another record high on Wall St Friday and as someone pointed out - the Sydney Airport offer - where the big end see opportunity and value - opportunistic they are.
This little drop will again be short lived - their is little doubt international travel will return by mid next year to a large % of countries who have vaccinated and have achieved herd immunity targets. It is already increasing weekly now - in the largest more important business countries of WEBJET - some just don't get it - can not think internationally and only domestic.
The opportunity to buy on the dips will be a thing of the past soon - not saying there will not be more disruptions along the way over next 12 months but fewer and fewer as global vaccinations increase dramatically. Incredible really by those involved to develop such in such a short period of time and produce en mass for distribution. This will not even make headline news in 18 months - as more and more countries vaccinate to herd immunity levels and the world opens up much quicker than anticipated just 12 months ago. Then the conversation of global growth which will be - is already massive but that's a huge conversation. Markets are not at record levels for no reason - the global growth will continue upwards in coming years and stability in markets will ensue.
