    CMC does that to me all the time, trick i have found is put the order in at the current bid price, not in between bid and offer, and not at the offer price, then it usually gets accepted, Seems often these market makers are trying to save the customer money by cancelling orders at the offer price, then when placed at the bid they are accepted and usually get filled.
    Also if after the bid price order gets accepted, then you have the option to amend higher up to the offer price and this always gets the order where you want it., rather than being cancelled..
    And like you, they have always given the excuse they are keeping an orderly market, Really makes little sense to me.
