Gas is different to iron ore. Iron ore has no replacement like renewables and in 20 years all the gas equipment (non energy use) bar fertiliser or plastic feed stock will have been converted to electric furnaces, heat pumps and other high tech electric methods. Plus the world is abundant with gas compared to steel. And everyone will or if not could be producing the stuff but no one will because there is huge divestment from fossil fuels - it's not the greatest stuff in the eyes of the world now. The curtains will close on the opportunity CTP has with Mac or a new bidder. We cannot be dormant like sick old FMS 20c to 2c over the next 8 years. That would be s disgrace! And unlike surface cropping iron ore our 4000m deep shale gas will be useless!! FMS is one of my old favs but it screwed me in 2008 financial crisis. I know they've run up from 2c to 6c or thereabouts of late but that ore is stranded, but still - good luck getting that rail track.
