    using your car analagy, its like driving an old bomb that hasnt been serviced in years accross a large desert without water.

    Either take water(extra funds) or get a better car, a (larger cap stock)wich is less likely to break down(get the LVR pulled or reduced)

    Individualising the loan makes absolutly no difference, you have not explained how it does. i would appreciate a response on how it does minimise the risk?

    With relation to doing homework i suggest you look at any M/L over the last six months or more and see what has happened to LVRs for stocks that have had liquidity or market cap reduce.

    To sum up is is a niave comment to say that it is indifferent between using m/l and fully funded purchases. I consider it dangerous to make that statement to people on HC that do not understand that it is riskier. I never stated not to do it just make sure you know the difference
