The idea is that, global demand will create a deficit in supply, inflating the price per gram for the first 2-3 years while suppliers catch up. Classic law of supply and demand, as it is written in any economics text book.
You could be right but I doubt it. Check the links below.
You being in mineral industry, you would know that the importation cash requirements and tax would be put at a cost per gram basis (similar to AUS$/t). The cost per gram would be higher than the spot price for cannabis and be uneconomical.
By the way, Cann Group is exporting in the near future due to the shortage anyway...
