Where are all the engineers in this debate! We keep hearing from climate scientists about how to reduce CO2 emissions but surely they are not the experts on this. Their job is to highlight the need to do it, not how. In any case we should not be starting from scratch. There are examples overseas of states using nuclear power with low emissions and reliable power. Where are the examples of states/countries that have now phased out fossil fuel power plants and just use firmed renewables. Surely there must be one! I mean really doing it, not faking it by having a transmission line (umbilical chord) to a neighbor using fossil fuels.
