yep you guys are right.
some things we can bet on seem to be:
- JG is in honeymoon period, so election will come quickly
- if election to come quickly, then Labor cannot risk prospect of having Miners et al advertising against mining tax ( and hence Labor)
- so therefore an agreed outcome for RSPT must he made, and made well in advance of election
- evidently (and I'm not convinced at all this is true) the electorate was disillusioned with Rudd because he abandoned the ETS and Carbon Tax promises. So JG will probably come out with a Carbon Tax proposal before election.
- Carbon Tax must be good for our CSG investments - so that JG can spruke the carbon emissions savings by promoting the switching to gas fired power stations.
Whats the bet that, as part of the horse trading, Labor negotiates with LNG coys to announce FID before election date?
That would get Qlders back on side!
