    Pity you don't know what your talking about.

    I have dealt with this issue over 100 times and let me tell you, insurance is a must. Even the big boys have insurance as it includes all disasters, loss in hole, blow outs etc.
    The operator even claims back everything from third party personnel, materials, planning, wages etc until the well is back to the same depth when lost.

    And yes it is not cheap......
