All metal detector strikes are not necessarily gold.
From what I've seen from all the historical data accross the entire Pilbara, half oz average seems about right for this conglomerate, with some areas having higher e.g. 2oz and some lower e.g. 4g/t. The figures from Novo so far are within these limits, so anyone thinking that 1.3g/t is average grade for the mineable conglomerate layer is crazy. The fact that grade can vary also allows grades like what DL says to be possible, especially in surface areas where erosion has happened and if that area is large... fook. Historically classed as oxide/sylphide as well with different detectable elements for each, so for sure correlation is ongoing for target layers and areas. Grades depending on what is classified as ore - so yes, grade could end up being lower than Xoz if multiple layers mined with dilution. A lot of mining has been carried out in this conglomerate in the past and there is one company currently who also regularly mines it periodically as part of their normal operations and I'd say it contributes a fair bit to their grades for those periods.
People on here mention shafts etc... THERE ARE ALREADY HISTORICAL SHAFTS AND UNDERGROUND ACCESSES INTO THIS CONGLOMERATE JUST NOT AT PURDYS.
My point is that no-one is mentioning certain historical info and from what I've seen, everything QH has been saying is almost verbatim from historical records, right down to the watermelon seed description. The only thing the hostorical stuff doesn't have is a watertight explanation for gold in conglomerate - it has underlying quartz veining as a basis for it. Also, they tended to just work the oxide portion in the past due to it being like concrete.
Everyone needs to waken up about this conglomerate because it is not a new thong and there are a hell of a lot more 'data points' than people are talking about. As a normal 'retailer' I would NOT be listening to ANY downramping about this all because not all facts are being made available to the average Joes.
The sell off has been infuriating but can only be short lived. DL is right to be balchy about it all ad are some people in the middle of it from the start.
