The case you put forward is based only the supply side....making the wrong assumption that theirs just a short term shortage that will be corrected as soon as more phospahate min ers come on stream. Yes this will reduce some heat, but the analysis you put forward on the medium/long term demand side was fairly meek at best ....."yes I know people have to eat"
Well Caliente... do some research on the demand side...and then come back and post "a balanced view"
To give you some assistance look in the following areas...
- population growth rate - reduction in arable land - increase demand for protein (ie more Mcdonalds/KFC means increase demand for grain production) - growth in bio-fuels as oil hits $200 and beyond
....and then maybe develop a forecast for phosphate demand.... and you may well see that the increased supply you discuss will also be meeting an ever increasing demand.
