........At a recent visit to my local K Mart, I noticed that the "Funtastic Pillow Pets" were neatly stocked in the toy aisle with all the other overpriced crap parents buy for their kids.......on my way out to the checkout, I noticed there was a generic brand of pillow pets at about 1/4 of the price of Funtastics pillow pets (Same exact toy). Now my issue is that with this type of product placement many consumers would obviously opt for the cheaper version of the pillow pet.
PS: I am aware that Kmart, Coles, Woolies etc have increased their positions with in house brands, but I find that this type of product placement is too skewed in the favour of the retailer..
