This offer has got me puzzled. I would love to see what value SHG has if it was valued on the same basis as ORG was by BG etc.

But the fact that SHG and QGC have agreed ( subject to a higher offer ) an initial price tells me that it could be all over. I mean no one came to RPM's rescue ( apart from BOW ) and PL171 has some of the gassiest coals going.

However SHG is a lot bigger than RPM and I know there are some big sharks looking for something in the SHG mould particularly as SHG has a lot of acreage yet to be proved up.

With LNG going higher it could spark an alternative bid but I rather think it might be all over.
