This type of discussion has taken place before,NUP springs to mind.
Today HDN is trading ex rights.Buy today and no issue,but if you brought yesterday and sell today you get the issue. the 26th plus 3 trading days for settlement takes it to the 2nd.(including the weekend)
Think of it like this ,if you sell today you lose the rights issue but if you buy today you don't get the issue.What happens to the issue shares and options then ?
I brought a few yesterday,2 shares and 2 options for every 5 shares you own looks like a good deal to me. Thanks for the alert by the way.
