What a ridiculous ignorant statement !
"The Depression" was a pretty crook period, but the credit market then was not "tight" at all. Tight credit was the least of their problems.
I suggest that whoever wrote that, follow Challenger CEO Tilley's advice and actually read about what happened in the 1930's.
