Whether you agree with fossil fuel power or not the current situation has been caused by extreme green element influences cutting back exploration and ultimately reducing supply of fossil fuels and making it less desirable to invest in fossil fuel generation. Thats all fine if the same groups enabled equivalent green replacements to materialize but it hasn't.
