Rio Tinto managed to lose 34.26% today, more than one third wiped off its value.
The interesting thing is that a similar sounding security - REO, also dropped 30%. It seems that anything that even sounded like Rio Tinto was hammered today...but REO dropped from 1c to 0.7c - RIO fell from $63.90 to $42.01, the volume (RIO) was 18 million shares worth $785 million, for REO it was 800,000 shares and a total value of $5,600.
But REO could shoot up by 30% tomorrow, for RIO, that isn't going to happen :)
