For those that are disappointed in the year on year results, you were warned well in advance. Like some posters have indicated this is a good time to top up the holdings in Neptune Marine Services. The capital raising conducted last year was 50 cents (if my memory serves me correctly), and those that missed out here is the opportunity to purchase. I certainly will be buying some more

While I am on this thread I would like to point out a misconception that some of you may have. Although there are areas that Neptune Marine Services and Mermaid Marine Australia overlap in, these two companies do completely different things

In regards to profit year on year for the first half financial 2010, the results speak for themselves as well

NEPTUNE MARINE SERVICES YEAR ON YEAR NEGATIVE - 1300%

MERMAID MARINE SERVICES YEAR ON YEAR POSITIVE + 25%

As Lange pointed out in his memo to the asx, the second half is looking promising and will be far stronger than the first half of fy 2010.
