First it was Trump and fake news, now it is RFG and fake profits. Not fake in the sense that auditors couldn't sign off on the accounts. But fake in the sense that ripping off franchisees (particularly selling unprofitable business to new franchisees, without proper disclosure or providing sufficient historic financials), is bound to lead to future legal claims against RFG, and this was not being reflected in the financials (an expense and liability provision for future legal claims). Anyway, the next year or two, the profit (or lack thereof) will reflect the true long term profit position of RFG, and the fake profits will be exposed.
