Here is my heatmap of my speculative stocks portfolio.
Notice that CPV has done really well over the last year. Speculative stocks pay off if you keep them a long time. CPV is ahead of most of them as it has marketable products that satisfy an obvious need. Hold and be rewarded in the long term (huge rewards).
Worry about 1 or 5 or 10 day performance and you will miss out on the big prize at the end.
