Rox didn't do any shallow Younami drilling, they didn't discover Grace or the Plant Zone or Sovereign.
They said that the Deeps were the project and they dewatered the main pit and diamond drilled from the bottom of the pit much deeper than the 111 prior DD holes. Those old DD holes had some great hits 30m @ 32g/t au, 27m @53 g/t au.
The new Diamond drilling followed the main lode shear which ranges from 1 m to 25 m in width. This widens at the max prior drilling depth and is open suggesting continuous and even richer prospects below 700m. No-one really knows when the gold will Peter out. 2,000m? 3,000m?
Drilling deeper the JV pumps out more spectacular hits and updates the JORC.
It is not unreasonable to suggest that 1m oz au would be identified down to 1200m or so.
That's lower recovery gold than the oxide at Grace but its still at least 2 Penny Wests and Magenta's.
That depth is not a huge obstacle to mining, the Gwalia mine is nearly 2000m deep. Because the Deeps is like a vertical gold reef somewhat like the Peru Shaft, it is actually simple to mine using modern techniques.

This is the upgraded JORC, basically adding to the ozs by lowering the grade.
This is not based on any new drilling.

Of course the problem with this thought experiment is that a lot of capital would be needed to mine the Deeps which is why the company opted for a starter mine based on Grace and near mine reserves, a series of pits.
But had the JV taken the high capex road and raised the money they would be nearly in production using a concentrator and exporting the gold concentrate and the share price would be much much higher.
The DEEPS really is the main game at Younami imo, a potential 1m oz + high grade resource.

Thanks m0ngy. IMO the JV should have made the Deeps the first major project and used the profits to fund all the other exploration. Reporting DD results would have supported the share price and made it possible to raise the funds for the mine.
