Youanmi Deeps part 2
With a JORC of 657,900 high grade ozs au confirmed by 111 DD holes the Deeps are the most significant resource at Younami. Given that the orebody is open and has not been explored at depth it is quite possible that it could contain 1 m oz high grade au.
Studies going back 30 years show that a processing recovery rate of 90% is achievable ie providing 591,300 oz au
The AISC on this deep gold will be higher than Grace and the processing of partly refractory ore is more expensive.
IMO the AISC would be about $900 oz au which is higher than Grace but still very profitable.
With gold at around $2,400 the Deeps could be worth around $ 887m. The combined MCs of Rox and Venus are around $110m.
Much of the DEEPS mining design was worked out decades ago. The diagram on the left shows the Deeps under the main pit and on the right is the plan showing how the ore will be trucked to the surface.
Interestingly Ramelius have a mill at Mt Marget called the Checkers that has been engineered to process refractory ore. IMO if Ramelius ever swoop on Rox/Venus the Deeps will be their main target. They have repeatedly said they are looking for a 1m oz au resource. The Deeps plus Grace and near mine deposits would be getting close,
