22 yr old checking in, been on her since I was maybe 18? Not much to report really, have just had sideways results probably more losses if I'm being honest but it's all part of the experience. The reality is losing a couple of grand here or there as a youngster isn't that bad.
From my experience the ASX is pretty boring, the US market has a lot more fascinating companies imo. Makes me sick looking at retailers like myr, djs , jbh, hvn on the ASX - days are numbered
For now my strategy is to invest in solid mid caps that pay a nice dividend and DRP.
I'm looking to get some exposure into India but am really struggling, all the funds I can find are BRIC, I want more india!
Going to build my portfolio up as follows
-Small to mid cap energy
-fixed income fund
-emerging markets fund
-US techs
-Australian resource speccies
-Australian banking
Rather aggressive but oh well!
Feel free to give me some more advice.
