Hmm! my daughter doesn't need/ have to work. She is in last year of high school and has two part time jobs to get work experience. Not many hours, but it's work.

She is not alone as other people do it.

One young man I know who was in a Disengaged Youth Program is now self employed doing Gardening work.Has no driver's licence or vehicle so it will be a challenge for him.

Were there is a will, there is a way.

Maybe it has been too easy for them?

In the old days, no Newstart, dole and any other type of hand out, and we survived.

If you want to work, you will find work, maybe not as a Brain Surgeon, but will find work.

The survey of people receiving Newstart inThe survey of people receiving Newstart in Sydney's inner-west found most had gone without basics such as heating and good-quality food. About 80 per cent could not afford dental care, half could not buy new clothes and more than 40 per cent could not afford medicines.

Gee! ALL Australia is not like Sydney's inner-west
