Jez, the reason the "NZ" couple are working their guts out 60 hours a week are twofold.
1) They have a work ethic 2) Not afraid to travel to where the work and the jobs are
They deserve every cent they get for getting up off their a#$e$ and making ago of it. I wish them all the best and hope they do really well in life. The truth is Australia needs tens of thousands more like your NZ couple.
Our young people need to realize that all the cushy "just-paid-to-front-up" council and public service jobs where sickies and stress leave are the norm have all been filled. That little party is over.
They simply have to digest the awful reality that they will have to work for a living. Turning up and working Facebook and Twitter all day doesn't cut it.
Onto the issue of taxes - when you look around and see the appalling waste of public monies over the past 6 years, you too would be doing everything in your power to LEGALLY not pay into that rort. I know I am. Taxpayers are simply pissed off at waste and subsidizing life style choices.
