What happens when a natural disaster intervenes and humans stop interacting with it to stay alive and it has to survive on it's own? Does it learn or get protected and avoid a possible learning evolution event? AI is just replacing the apex species (humans) with another created being. Which relies on natural resources, oil, metal, plastic which is finite. Humans are much more resilient and adaptable. Computers are a tool to be used for our benefit. Unfortunately possibly only to benefit the top portions of our civilisation, but still a controllable tool. Who controls it controls civilisation not evolution. Adaptation and dumb luck as dictated by nature will prevail.
