jeami, a few months back i got my first speeding fine ever. Got off it after i wrote as letter. If you live in Vic, and you were 10km or less over the limit & have a clean record for at least 2 years, you can write them a letter asking for an official warning and they will withdraw the fine and issue you with a warning. Just google it or go to the relevant police website (whichever state you are in).
