For all the thinkers on HotCopper, there is an important e-petition currently in the system at the Australian Parliament that requires your attention. It is a petition to end the unscientific and discriminatory vaccine mandates that have hurt so many individuals and families, ordinary Australians, around the country.
I was alerted to it by another HC member (spiderman14), and thought it so important that it required highlighting further. Everyone who is working in a job where they have been asked to get vaccinated, re-boosted, or continuously show their vaccine passport, is going to want to sign this petition. Even the police in South Australia have thrown out its mandate, why shouldn't other citizens have the same freedoms? The petition had 65,000 signatures a couple of hours ago, and is now closing on 76,000, but more are needed. Add yours to contribute to Australia getting back to normal and free everyone from the silly distinction as to whether you are "fully" vaccinated, or not, depending on time frames/boosters etc. No one wants to keep boosting forever, and questions remain about the medical sense of it. These distinctions should not affect anyone's work or status in society. It has all been too much and way overdone. Many countries have already totally discarded all Covid restrictions - the UK, Ireland, Norway and Denmark, to name a few. Australians can freely fly to those countries without any test or quarantine, work freely without a vaccine passport, yet we still have restrictions here. There are only 3 days left to sign.
