Have thought about that question a fair amount particularly as the same posters mostly follow OKAP companies.

The following come to mind:

1) White knight ( trying to protect unsuspecting investors from ever going near an OKAP company)

2) Revenge ( lost money and this is one way of payback )

3) Boredom ( nothing else constructive to do with one's spare time )

4) Shortening the stock ( therefore need to create a negative mood )
