    mate - banks don't rely on credit cards to get fees. They rely on disgusting interest rates on large loans and made over $9bn profit last year on a population so small in Australia when the current inflation rate is 1.9%
    Credit card debt fees gets revenue but still...bad debt. And they charge a merchant fee for credIt card use.
    I don't know why ASIC thinks making new rules for buy now and pay later services when the four big banks are the worst white collared criminals that never get punished because they point the finger at the corporation practices and never take accountability. APT and Z1P aren't doing anything different than what banks offer with their credit cards, except give you more time to pay it off without interest. You might not get reward points or travel insurance that you would get with a CC, but you would feel a little better than giving more money to those banking crooks. Annual CC fees are sometimes waived if you call their card retention team. DYOR
