There is some discussion on HC regarding the apparently poor customer satisfaction with Adairs Group Brands in recent times due to issues such as shipping and quality issues (black mould etc.)
Ultimately customer reviews are anecdotal evidence.
I thought I'd start a thread where people could share their own buying experiences with group brands and see how they compare to apparent consensus.
I decided to order a product as it is important to me how the group performs on essential customer service metrics. If the brand performed poorly on my own transaction it would go aways to my overall feelings about the company.
Personally, I ordered a "Parker" buffet from Mocka. I found that the product was priced very keenly at $149, beating out offers from brands I consider comparable such as Fantastic Furniture and on par with offerings from online retailer Matt Blatt. The shipping was $30 or so which I consider to be quite fair comparable to other items I've ordered online.
I ordered the product on a Thursday. On the listing it described the product as being "in stock in Australia." I quickly received shipping information telling me of recent Covid delays and that the product could take up to 2 weeks to be delivered through carrier Aramex. I also received a tracking number and a separate email from Aramex themselves telling me of lodgement.
I was pleasantly surprised then that the product arrived at my house in Newcastle NSW on the following Monday, only 2 business days later.
I found the buffet easy to assemble and of a quality I would consider to be good for the price paid.
Overall I was happy with this experience. What about you?
