It appears the mould in cots issue is not isolated to Australia as the company previously suggested
according to this report.
The pattern in this story is the same as Australia - the customer finds an alarming amount of mould in her baby's cot, the company denies all blame, despite a current ACCC investigation and blames the customer for it.
What I found really interesting was the company's response to media enquiries about this saying,
"A Mocka spokesperson said the company had received very limited inquiries about mould in New Zealand". I wonder what they mean by 'limited inquiries' - 10 complaints about mould? 20?
It really is bizzare how the company continues to persist with selling stuff that many many customers have reported to have found levels of mould that are a serious threat to their childrens health.
Mocka Australia back in early April claimed they had commissioned laboratory testing and that they would have the results 'soon' - but nearly two months later, we've heard nothing.
